Fairies Crush Gardeners 10-3

The Fairies claim sole possession of first place in the SHPL with a 10-3 dismantling of the Gardeners.  This game marked the return of Gardener defensive juggernaut "Baby Shaq" who had been serving a three game suspension for performance enhancing drugs.

"Hammer" started the scoring action with two goals within the first minute of play.  Gardener captain "Big Oak" fed "Baby Shaq" three minutes later to draw within one goal - but alas, the Fairies were too much.

Fairies Owner "Sterling"on todays game.
"It's games like this that really separate the playoff teams from those who will be doing laundry come May."
After the game - the players mixed it up for an exhibition game to commemorate 9/11 and show appreciation for the troops.

North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory commented on the exhibition match -
"It was magnificent to see the games best players take the street for the troops.  Seeing "Hammer" pass between his own legs to set-up "Big Oak" for a blazing one-timer!  Kick-Ass Awesome!"

The Fairies will take the street again Sunday February 24th Sometime between noon and four to try and get their first win at the Lager Palace.
